Why 33calculators

  • Each task gets its own calculator. Percentages, fractions, dates and pace aren't squeezed into one generic form.
  • A result carries over to the next calculation. Take 15% of 240 in the Percentage Calculator and you get 36. Tap Use to send 36 to the Fraction Calculator, put 48 under it, and 36/48 becomes 3/4.
  • It's free and needs no account. Your calculations stay in your browser.

Free online calculator

This free online calculator is a basic calculator online: add, subtract, multiply, divide, take a percentage, flip a number's sign with ±. It follows the order of operations, so × and ÷ go before + and −. Results show up to 12 significant digits. Decimals come out clean: 0.1 + 0.2 gives 0.3, with no floating-point tail. Divide by zero and you'll see "Can't divide by 0".

That's all it does. Need parentheses, powers or functions? Open the Scientific Calculator. For a percentage of a number there's the Percentage Calculator, and for fractions the Fraction Calculator.

How to use the calculator online

Tap the keys on screen, or type on your computer keyboard: digits, + - * /, % and a period (a comma works as a period too). Enter or = calculates. Backspace deletes, Escape or Delete clears.

  • Order of operations: 2 + 3 × 4 = 14, because 3 × 4 is worked out first.
  • Made a typo? ⌫ removes the last character. C clears the expression and the display, but your history stays.
  • Percent works the way it does on a phone calculator: 50 + 10% = 55, and 200 − 15% = 170. On its own, % divides the number by 100.
  • After =, press an operation to keep going from the result. Type a digit instead and a new calculation starts.

Reuse a result in the next calculation

Each time you press =, the calculation and its result go into the history. Every result has a Use button. It sends the number to this calculator or to another one: Percentage, Fraction or Scientific. On a computer or tablet, the History panel sits next to the calculator. On a phone, tap the history line.

History stays while the tab is open, even as you move between calculators. The numbers you enter are not sent anywhere.
